视频中语音部分脚本如下

Today we're going to be going through some speaking questions about where I live, so we're going to be talking about my house and my city.

The first question is: Do you live in a house or a flat? At the moment I’m living in a flat because I live in a city and flats are a lot cheaper than houses.

Question number two: What is your flat like? My flat has two bedrooms, a small kitchen, a standard-sized living room and a small bathroom. One of the rooms is a bedroom with a bed and a wardrobe, and I use the other room as an office, so it has a desk and a chair for me to use my computer.

Question number three: Where do you spend most of your time at home? I spend most of my time in the living room because it's the biggest room in the flat and I really like it. There's a sofa, my TV, some bookshelves and a dining table with four chairs in there. Normally, when I'm in the living room, I watch TV, use my laptop or spend time with my cat, who also enjoys being in the living room because her toys and bed are there.

Question number four: Have you got a garden? No, I don't have a garden because my flat isn't on the ground floor. I would like to have a garden to grow some flowers and spend time outside, but it's very difficult to find a flat with a garden in a city.

Question number five: Is your flat in the city center or on the outskirts? My flat is in the city center. I think it's good to be in the center of the city because everything is close by. There are supermarkets, hairdressers, chemists, restaurants and cafes all near my flat. You do pay a little extra to live in the city center, but it's worth it because you don't have to spend so much money on petrol.

Question number six: Why is it good to have a house in the countryside? I think having a house in the countryside is very relaxing and quiet. It's a totally different lifestyle to living in the city center. If you enjoy spending time in nature and having a garden with flowers and plants, then the countryside is the best place for you. However, when you are young and want to do more cultural activities, such as visiting museums, going to the gym or learning about the city's history, it's better to live in a city rather than in the middle of nowhere in the countryside. I know a lot of people really love the countryside lifestyle, and I think I would love to live there in the future too, instead of in the city.

Question number seven: Is it important to have a big kitchen and why? I think it would be nice to have a big kitchen, but I don't think it's necessary. The more space and cupboards you have in the kitchen, the more things you'll accumulate. I prefer to be more minimalist in the kitchen because there are a lot of utensils and gadgets that you don't really use on a day-to-day basis. So I think it's best to keep as few objects as possible in the kitchen.

The next question is: Have you ever moved house? Yes, I have moved house many times because I have lived in a lot of places and countries. Moving house within the same city is less stressful, but moving abroad is much more stressful because you have a limited amount of things you can take with you, so you have to plan it very carefully.

The final question is: What would you like to change about your flat? Well, I would actually like to live in a house, so there are a lot of things I would change about my flat. I would like to have an extra bedroom to turn into a gym, and I would like to have an extra wardrobe for storage because only one of my bedrooms has a wardrobe.

语法修改细节及原因标注

以下是修改内容的逐句对比与说明:

  1. 原句:Today we're going to be following some speaking questions... 修改后:Today we're going to be going through some speaking questions...
  3. 原句:It has a bed in it and a wardrobe, but I use the other room as an office, so it has a desk and a chair, so that I can use my computer in it. 修改后:One of the rooms is a bedroom with a bed and a wardrobe, and I use the other room as an office, so it has a desk and a chair for me to use my computer. 原因
    • 避免重复使用"it has"和"in it"造成语句冗余;
    • 用"and"替代转折连词"but",前后句为并列介绍两个房间的功能,不存在转折逻辑;
    • 用"for me to use my computer"简化原句的双重连词结构,让句式更简洁流畅。
  4. 原句:spending time with my cat, who enjoys spending time in the living room too because she has her toys and her bed in there. 修改后:spending time with my cat, who also enjoys being in the living room because her toys and bed are there. 原因
    • 将"too"调整到主语后(who also enjoys),符合英语状语位置的常用规则;
    • 用"being in"替代"spending time in",避免与前文"spending time"重复;
    • 去掉"her bed"前的重复物主代词"her",简化表达。
  5. 原句:because my flat isn't a ground floor flat. 修改后:because my flat isn't on the ground floor. 原因:"on the ground floor"是描述楼层位置的标准表达,原句"a ground floor flat"属于中式英语的直译。
  6. 原句:to have some flowers 修改后:to grow some flowers 原因:"grow flowers"(种花)比"have some flowers"(有花)更符合拥有花园后会进行的具体活动,逻辑更清晰。
  7. 原句:the more space that you have and the more cupboards that you have 修改后:The more space and cupboards you have 原因:"the more...the more..."
  9. 原句:I have moved house a lot of times 修改后:I have moved house many times 原因:"many times"比"a lot of times"更符合正式书面表达的习惯。
  10. 原句:when you have to move abroad and you have a limited amount of things that you can take with you, it is a lot more stressful and you have to plan it very well. 修改后:but moving abroad is much more stressful because you have a limited amount of things you can take with you, so you have to plan it very carefully. 原因
    • 用"but"替代"and",明确与前文"同城搬家压力小"形成转折对比;
    • 用"because"补充压力大的原因,理顺逻辑关系;
    • 用"carefully"替代"very well",更贴合"plan"(规划)这个动作的副词搭配。
